Dr. Daphne Ari-Even Roth

Daphne Ari-Even Roth, PhD, is a lecturer at the Department of communication Disorders, Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University in the field of clinical and pediatric audiology. She earned her BA, MA and PhD degrees at the department of Communication Disorders, Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. She is also a senior clinician at the Hearing, Speech and Language Center at the Sheba Medical Center and in charge of the bone-anchored hearing aids team and a member of the cochlear implant team. As a senior audiologist, she is coordinating for the last 20 years the pioneering universal newborn hearing screening program in Israel at the Sheba Medical Center and consults regularly the Israeli Ministry of Health regarding newborn hearing screening. Her research areas focus on early detection of hearing loss in neonates and young children its clinical implications, functional plasticity in the neural encoding of sounds in the auditory system using behavioral and electrophysiological measures as well as objective evidence for auditory processing dysfunction in special populations.
