Welcome to Zurich, Switzerland!

Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland and the capital of the canton of Zurich. It is located in north-central Switzerland, at the northwestern tip of Lake Zurich. Zurich is a hub for railways, roads, and air traffic. Both Zurich Airport and Zurich's main railway station are the largest and busiest in the country.

The official language of Zurich is German, but the main spoken language is Zurich German, the local variant of the Alemannic Swiss German dialect.

As one of Switzerland's primary financial centers, Zurich is home to many financial institutions and banking companies. Many museums and art galleries can be found in the city, including the Swiss National Museum and KunsthausSchauspielhaus Zürich is generally considered to be one of the most important theaters in the German-speaking world.

Zurich is divided in 12 districts and each of them has its own particular charm, e.g. the Old Town, city center is the Sightseeing Mecca: The historical center delights with charming alleyways, magnificent guild houses, the Grossmünster and Fraumünster churches, and restaurants steeped in tradition.

But also the other districts promise a variety of interesting gastronomic and cultural addresses as well as beautiful parks and shopping areas.
